Billy Blades is an intersex and trans artist from Pittsburgh, PA. They grew up figure skating, becoming a four-time USFS Gold Medalist and two-time qualifier for the National Solo Dance Series Championship. After receiving their BFA in Sculpture from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, Billy became a coach in Philadelphia, PA and participated in the USFS Adult Figure Skating Championships in Cleveland.

Known for their excellent edgework, strong partnering skills, and inventive artistry, Billy has continued their education in creative movement through American Ice Theater classes and the Michiyaya Spring Dance Intensive. Locally they have taught Adult Edge & Style classes, and co-led a workshop in Boston at the American Contemporary Skating Festival. They regularly present their original choreography in skating shows as well as in performance for video.
